Correction of the mons pubis (also mons veneris)
all important Informationen
Give yourself a bikini body! An enlarged mons pubis is sometimes caused by hormonal changes, but it is most often associated with being overweight. Giving birth also changes the fatty tissue. Diet and exercise can only help a little, and it won’t help at all in some spots.
After a reduction of the mons pubis (mons veneris) with Prof. Gress in Munich, you’ll gladly show off your bikini body …
The procedure
As a rule, reducing the mons veneris by liposuction is sufficient. A mons veneris that sags downward presents an excess of skin. This should be removed. The mons pubis is then tightened by removing an elliptical section of skin above the mons veneris. The scar is very fine and runs above the mons pubis, as after a Caesarean section. If there already is a scar from a C-section, it will be removed with this procedure.
We perform the mons pubis correction as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia. Therefore, the procedure does not require a great deal of time.
During the consultation you will receive all the relevant documents; you should read them at your leisure, sign and bring them with you on the day of the procedure.
Your pubic area should be completely shaved for the procedure. You should stop taking drugs that influence blood clotting, such as aspirin, at least 14 days before the procedure.
Local anesthesia is sufficient for mons pubis modeling. Smaller liposuction procedures can be performed very well under local anesthesia. We prefer general anesthesia for larger regions or for more extensive tightening of the mons pubis.
Surgery for modeling of the mons pubis is not a major intervention. Before the operation, please purchase a tight panty girdle that provides compression on the mons pubis. You should wear the girdle for about 4 weeks.
Your skin may temporarily feel numb or “furry”. Depending on the extent of the procedure, you will be able to resume work after 2 to 5 days.
In Germany, the German Drug Advertising Act (Heilmittelwerbegesetz) does not permit before and after pictures of cosmetic surgery to be displayed. You can view these during your personal consultation with us or email us info@plast-chirurgie.de

Minor pain is possible after the liposuction. Your skin may temporarily feel numb or “furry”.
The procedure takes about 1.5 hours. Costs for liposuction total approx. 2000 to 2400 euros. Tightening of the mon veneris costs about 1500 to 2500 euros.
If performed for purely aesthetic reasons, value added tax is additional. If there are medical reasons for the procedure (chronic skin irritation in the abdominal crease), value added tax is not applicable. However, a referral from a dermatologist is necessary.
