A breast- implant, that is selected according to the desired shape and size of the new breast, is inserted by a small incision either in the submammary crease, around the areola or in the armpit. It is placed behind the breast tissue or behind the breast muscle. We prefer in most cases the augmentation by an anatomic (natural)- shaped (“tear- drop”) implant that is placed behind the breast muscle, because it gives the most natural and aesthetically most pleasing results.
